How to care for your skin's microbiome

Updated: Oct 5, 2022

Did you know that there are hundreds of teeny tiny living organisms on your skin? This community of microorganisms is called your skin flora or microbiome. They are a necessary part of our skin because they act as a protective layer to help balance our skin and keep it looking healthy. When this microbiome is disturbed, skin loses its ability to hold moisture and becomes dry and damaged.

The main reasons that our microbiome can get damaged are stress or harmful chemicals coming into contact with our skin. These chemicals include things like clothing, soaps, hand sanitizer and certain skincare products.

Let me introduce you to three skincare products that can and will help to restore a healthy skin microbiome. You can use just one or all three together as a skincare routine. They are the Moisture Therapy + Balance product line.

Balance and Soothe Body Wash - this body wash gently cleanses to leave skin soft and smooth while helping restore its balance. I would highly recommend this body wash for anyone with dry skin.

Body Lotion - this lotion replenishes moisture while soothing and balancing to leave skin softer, smoother and healthier-looking.

Body Cream - this rich, moisturizing cream helps create a healthy enviornment for skin's microbiome. When combined with the other two products in this skincare line, it is a surefire way to get rid of dry or flaky skin.

This trio of products is strictly for those that have incredibly dry skin. You can see these products and more at avon.com/repstore/avonwithmissy.
